Day 1

We depart early morning and make our way south for our late morning crossing to Calais. We continue our journey to our hotel in the Champagne Region. Dinner included this evening.

Day 2

This morning, after a hearty breakfast, we continue our journey to the high alpine resort of La Clusaz. In a picturesque position, we arrive at the lovely Alpen Roc hotel early afternoon. This delightful and welcoming hotel is our base for the next 5 Nights. Settle in and familiarize yourself with the town centre. Buffet Dinner is served this evening.

Day 3

A fabulous day in the lakeside village of Yvoire on the shores of magnificent Lake Geneva. To further enhance our day we include a circular cruise on the Lake.

Day 4

Today we enjoy a day at leisure in our resort. Monday is market day, time to browse the delightful alpine market in the morning. In the afternoon, relax in the town or maybe take one of the several gondolas or chairlifts to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the mountains.

Day 5

This morning, we head to Annecy, where we enjoy a guided walking tour - an insight into the history of this popular summer resort, blessed with charming canals and narrows streets waiting to be explored. Today is market day and the streets are lined with bustling market stalls. In the afternoon, a circular cruise on the lake itself is included before returning to our hotel.

Day 6

Today, we journey to the chic mountain resort of Chamonix. We board the Montenvers Mer de Glace train for a return journey to view the impressive Mer de Glace Glacier. At the summit, we will have the opportunity to descend via cable car to walk within the glacier itself. After enjoy free time to explore this delightful resort.

Day 7

This morning, after a delightful breakfast, we must retrace our steps through France and to our final evening in our overnight Hotel.

We begin our journey homeward bound to Calais and our mid afternoon crossing back to the UK.

Hotel Alpen Roc

Nestled in the mountains between Chamonix and Annecy, you will find Hotel Alpen Roc, located in the centre of La Clusaz, with the main shopping street and cable car within easy walking distance. The hotel is decorated in a wooden chalet style throughout. On the ground floor there is a large restaurant serving a fabulous buffet. The first floor is home to an open plan bar. The 108 traditionally furnished bedrooms are equipped with a TV, Hairdryer and Safe. There is also a Sauna, Steam Room, Jacuzzi and Indoor Swimming Pool.
