Nestled within the awe-inspiring Austrian Alps, the Zillertal valley stands as a paradise for winter sports devotees, especially celebrated for its expansive ski areas, including Mayrhofen, Zillertal Arena, Hochzillertal-Hochfügen, and Hintertux Glacier. The Zillertaler Höhenstraße is one of the most beautiful alpine roads in Austria and the starting point for numerous mountain hikes.
The small holiday, peaceful and scenic resort Stumm is typically Austrian with the late Gothic parish church dedicated to St Rupert housing some striking pieces of art and Stumm Castle, surrounded by a lushly planted park in the heart of the village, with it's square considered to be one of the most beautiful in the Tyrol.
In summer, the Stumm Swimming Pool provides refreshment on hot summer days.
In the summer, visitors can enjoy the Erlebnistherme Zillertal Spa complex, go-karts, mini-golf, and the outdoor swimming pool provides a welcome visit to cool down on warm summer days.

Day 1
Our journey takes us south to the Kent coast and our late morning crossing to France. We make our way into Germany and our overnight Hotel. Our dinner is a set menu this evening.
DDay 2
This morning, after breakfast, we continue our journey into the heart of Austria and to the village of Stumm in the Ziller Valley. This traditional Tyrolean resort is our base for the next 6 nights.
B, DDay 3
Today we visit the charming resort of Mayrhofen, a picturesque alpine village, the largest in the Valley, followed by a scenic journey to the mountain resort of Hintertux, Austria's only all year round ski resort. Experience a ride on the Gondola, affording fabulous views of the Zillertal Alps Nature Park and as far as the Zugspitze, Dolomites and even the Großglockner, Austria's highest mountain to witness the skiers on the Glacier (Optional).
B, DDay 4
We take the Achensee Steam Cog Railway, the oldest of its kind in Europe and still in constant use. It hauls itself 7km puffing up the mountain where our steamer awaits to ferry us across to beautiful Pertisau on the lake shore for free time.
Day 5
We journey today along the Inn Valley for our visit to Innsbruck. You’ll see the Wilten Monastery and the Olympic Ski-Jump. Continue into Innsbruck, famed for its copper-tiled 'Golden Roof'. Don’t forget to stop for coffee and cake in one of the many cafes in the Old Town.
B, DDay 6
We journey over the Gerlos Pass into the Hohe Tauern National Park to discover the Krimml Waterfalls the highest in Austria at 380m. Hear the roar and feel the spray on your face of the most powerful waterfall in Austria and one of the mightiest waterfalls in Europe. Enjoy time for lunch before we continue to the fashionable resort of Kitzbuhel. One of the most famous and exclusive ski resorts in the world, it is frequented primarily by the international high society and home to the world's most notorious and dangerous downhill racecourse for men, called the "Streif"
B, DDay 7
A day at leisure to relax and enjoy Stumm. Soak up the sunshine, swim in the pool or take one of the many scenic walking paths into the hillsides above the village.
B, DDay 8
Sadly today we have to bid farewell to Austria, as we commence our journey across the border and into Germany for our overnight stay.Our dinner is a set menu this evening.
B, DDay 9
A hearty breakfast before we make our way to the coast and our afternoon crossing back to the shores of England. We arrive home mid-evening.

Situated in the heart of the Ziller Valley in the village of Stumm. The hotel is traditionally furnished in tyrolean wooden style, serving traditional home cooked tryolean cusine using local ingredients. The bedrooms are bright and all feature a balcony to soak up the scenic surroundings. There is also an outdoor terrace, perfect for relaxing with a drink and features a Spa and Wellness with sauna. A new addition is the outdoor pool available in the Summer months.
