A strikingly beautiful Estate with spectacular views across to Snowdonia
A World famous garden and one of the most beautiful in the United Kingdom, spanning some 80 acres and situated along the River Conwy. This strikingly beautiful Estate is set in hilly and wooded countryside commanding spectacular views across to Snowdonia. An incredible vision of plants collected from as far afield as China, North America, Japan and Europe - brought to Britain over a period of 150 years by the McLaren family.
With sweeping lawns, grand terraces, informal and formal gardens with all year round colour set in a stunning backdrop of the mountains of Snowdonia. Visit the Poem, a spectacular structure in the heart of the garden - built as a final resting place for the family. The garden has two parts. The upper garden around Bodnant Hall consists of the terraced gardens and informal lawns shaded by trees. The lower portion known as the 'Dell' contains the wild garden. Plus don't miss out on the Italianate terraces.
One of the highlights of spring at Bodnant Garden is the flowering of the famous Laburnum Arch. In the Autumn enjoy its firework display of crimson, amber and gold and the glowing leaves of trees and shrubs, ripening fruit and berries putting on a show to rival the brightest colours of summer.
Admission to Bodnant Garden, plus return coach travel.
