Fontainebleau, The story goes that when Louis XIVs finance minister, Nicolas Fouquet, invited the king to his château-warming party in 1661, the luxury and beauty enraged the young king, who promptly placed Fouquet behind bars for life and engaged the architect, artist and gardener to create something even grander: Versailles.
Rouen is synonomous with Joan of Arc. Boasts, the 2nd largest number of listed buildings after Paris and home to a mighty gothic Cathedral and the oldest astronomical clock.
Beautiful Giverny, home to Monets Garden. The gardens are simply stunning, mixing the simplest of flowers with the rarest variety of plant. Visit Monets home, walk the Japanese Bridge and take lunch in the lovely village of itself. Combined with charming Honfleur popular with Impressionist painters like Monet and Boudin. They found its changing light and picturesque quays inspiringand even today, if you return to the same spot every day to take a photo, you'll find no two are the same. This is river cruising at its very best.

La Roche Guyon, it's impressive castle dominates the village below with its labrinyth of charming little streets. Titled the most beautiful village in France, it sits directly on the river seine. Many artists have chosen La Roche-Guyon as their home base thanks to its sheer beauty, even Claude Monet himself enjoyed visiting La Roche-Guyon, the village features in several of his paintings.

Day 1
We head to south to join our crossing to France. We continue to Paris to board the MS Botticelli late afternoon. Time to relax and settle into our new surroundings before being welcomed by our Captain with pre- dinner Cocktails. A 3 Course Dinner is followed by an illuminated cruise along the river to take in the sparkle of this City by night.
DDay 2
This morning as we cruise enjoy breathtaking views from the sun deck of picturesque villages and the peaceful serentiy of the river. We lunch on board before our visit to Chateau Vaux le Vicomte, commissioned by Nicolas Fouquet, the Superintendent of Finances under King Louis XIV. The splendour of the château was its ultimate downfall. with Fouquet arrested on charges of embezzlement, and Louis XIV seizing many of the château's valuables, even employing the same artistic team for his own ambitious project, the Palace of Versailles.
B, L, DDay 3
Today we cruise to the 'City of Romance'. We visit the Ile de la Cite, and island in the middle of the river Seine, one of the oldest parts of the City, unspoiled with narrow lanes and cobbled alleyways and home to the mighty Notre Dame Cathedral.
B, L, DDay 4
A full day to explore the delights of this beautiful and romantic City. Join our guided tour of many of its famous landmarks, taking in the Arc de TrIomphe, Champs Elysees, the Louvre, Opera House, to name a few, This afternoon enjoy time at leisure or join us to one of the oldest quarters in Paris, Montmartre. Home to the magnifcent domed Basilica Le Sacre Coeur and its many artists who live in this Bohemian part of the City.
B, L, DDay 5
A morning arrival into Caudebec en Caux. Enjoy a lesiurely morning on board, or visit this picturesque riverside town with medieval streets and a Gothic church. Alternatively, we board our coach to the pretty port of Honfleur. Colourful half timbered houses jostle for position on the quay, painted by many famous artists including Monet, Boudin and Courbet. One of the most picturesque locations in France.
B, L, DDay 6
Today takes us to Joan of Arc country. Visit Vieux Rouen with its fascinating half timbered houses, magnificent gothic churches, charming alleyways and beauiful medeival quarter. This afternoon we cruise towards beautiful La Roche Guyon.
B, L, DDay 7
We berth this morning in La Roche Guyon titled the most beautiful village in France. Many artists have chosen La Roche-Guyon as their home base thanks to its sheer beauty, even Claude Monet featured the village in several of his paintings. Visit the home and garden of the celebrated painter Claude Monet. See the famous water lily ponds and colourful gardens created by the Master of Impressionism, turning Giverney into a place of artistic pilgrimage. We set sail early evening to the City of Lights.
B, L, DDay 8
This morning, we bid farewell to our Captain and Crew and head towards the coast and our afternoon crossing to the UK. We enjoy a lunch stop in the delightful resort of Le Touquet - the coastal playground of the rich Parisians. We return home late evening.
