Day 1
We depart from local pickup points and head towards the beautiful Wye Valley, stopping in the charming town of Monmouth for Lunch. Then on to Cwmbran, arriving at The Parkway Spa Hotel with time to unpack and settle in. Maybe enjoy the warm luxurious pool, spa bath, sauna & steam room before dinner.
Day 2
After a hearty breakfast, we are met by our local guide and introduced to all the local attractions. There will be a visit to Cardiff Bay and a boat cruise, followed by free time in the Welsh Capital.
Day 3
Today is market day in Abergavenny, free time before we head to Pant and a journey on the Brecon Beacons Railway through the National Park to Pontsticil and along the full length of the Taf Fechan Reservoir before climbing to Torpantau high in the Brecon Beacons and the summit of the original line.
Day 4
We make our way to Caerphilly and a visit to the Castle, the biggest Castle in Wales - second only to Windsor in the whole of Britain. We continue to the Big Pit to experience the sights, sounds, smells and atmosphere of an authentic coal mine. Set in the unique Blaenafon Industrial Landscape and designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, Big Pit used to employ up to 1,300 workers.
Day 5
A hearty and leisurely breakfast before we make our way to Chepstow for a short stop. Our journey continues via Tintern Abbey before reaching Ross on Wye for Lunch. We arriving home late afternoon.
