Above the villages sit mighty legendary castles each with their only fairy tale of bygone years, amidst row upon row of lush green sloping vineyard.

In Boppard, the magnificent wine festival celebrates the grape harvest with wine grower tastings and entertainment. Riesling is regarded by many critics as being one of the world's finest white grapes (and wines). "Riesling (pronounced reece-ling), is the greatest white wine grape in the world," said UK wine critic Jancis Robinson MW in a 2020 piece for the Financial Times.

Day 1

We depart early morning and head to Dover and a lunchtime sailing to Calais. We arrive early evening at the 4* Bellevue Rheinhotel. Time to check-in freshen up before dinner in the Restaurant. After dinner, enjoy a drink in the cosy bar or riverside terrace overlooking the Rhine.

Day 2

Today is at leisure to enjoy the delights of charming Boppard. This quaint and picturesque hidden gem with its captivating cobbled streets lined with half-timbered houses and snug wine taverns, serving chilled glasses of Reisling, is home to 2 Churches and a whole host of independent shops, cafes and bars. Its vineclad hills, are the perfect backdrop for the local winegrowers to celebrate the harvesting of the grapes.

Join in this joyous atmosphere of celebration. It is more than just a wine event, the Fête is a living tradition, passed down from generation to generation. Complete the day enjoying a chilled glass of the local grape, watching ths sunset from the Bellevue river garden.

Day 3

After breakfast join our optional river Cruise from Boppard. Admire the mighty legendary Castles dotted on the hillsides perched amidst row upon row of lush green sloping vineyard as we journey to the Loreley. Duration - 2 Hours. The remainder of the day is free, once again, to enjoy the atmsophere of the town and wine festival.

Day 4

This morning we board the ferry across the Rhine from St. Goar to St. Goarhausen passing fairytale Castles along the way to the delightful resort of Rudesheim. We include a tour of the town and the vineyards aboard the Winzerexpress Land Train, before soaring high above Rudesheim on its Cable Airway to the world famous monument the Niederwald Denkmal. The lively Drosselgasse is full of life day and night, world renowned as the prettiest street in Europe, enjoy free time in this charming Resort.

Day 5

This morning, after breakfast, we bid farewell and retrace our steps to Calais for our afternoon sailing to the UK. We return home late evening.
