Day 1
We begin our journey north into Scotland and our hotel ideally positioned in Fort William at the foot of Ben Nevis.
DDay 2
After breakfast we begin our day with a visit to the Ben Nevis Distillery, which dates back to 1825, one of the oldest in Scotland. A tour of the distillery completes with a wee dram at the foot of Britain's hightest mountain. After we ride along the Caledonian Canal to the historic and scenic hamlet of Fort Augustus. Tine to enjoy lunch before boarding our boat for a scenic cruise on Loch Ness. Experience the sights, wildlife and history and for those curious enough, sonar equipment beams live images of what lies beneath its deep waters.
B, DDay 3
Firstly we travel through the Cairngorms National Park to reach Aviemore Station. Take a return trip through the majestic scenery of the Cairngorm National Park aboard one of Strathspey Railway's heritage trains from Aviemore to Broomhill, and back to Aviemore. We then continue to Pitlochry, for lunch. In the heart of Scotland with real hospitality, clear sparkling air, beautiful scenery, rich clan history, fine food, plenty of space and lots to see and do. We arrive back to Fort William late afternoon.
B, DDay 4
The Greatest Railway Journey in the World', due mainly to the stunning scenery. The 42 mile journey will take you past Britain’s highest mountain, deepest Loch, shortest river and most westerly station en-route to Mallaig, one of the world’s most picturesque fishing villages. Free time in Mallaig for Lunch before we re-board the Jacobite Railway for our journey back to Fort William.
B, DDay 5
After a hearty and leisurely breakfast, we commence our journey back into England.
