Day 1
We depart early morning and journey south for our crossing to France. We head to the beautiful medieval town of Bruges. We overnight in the centrally located Martin's Hotel. Bruges at Christmas time is beyond magical, visit the Christmas Market and enjoy the festive atmosphere in one of its many eateries.
Day 2
A leisurely morning to enjoy all the delights of Bruges before we continue our journey to Valkenberg. We check into our resort hotel mid afternoon, before heading into town to familiarise ourselves in this picturesque setting. We enjoy Dinner in the Restaurant this evening.
B, DDay 3
Today we vist the largest of Valkenburg's underground Caves. Join us as we journey through the cave aboard a tourist train. Here we discover the oldest marl cave in the Netherlands home to the resistance during WW2, witness mural paintings, plaques, sculptures and shelters dating right back to the cold war. Our Tour completes with admission/entrance into the festively lit marlstone corridors of its underground Christmas Market. This afternoon enjoy a leisurely stroll into the centre of this adorable and charming town. Visit Santa's atmospheric Christmas village, cosy chalets filled with Christmas gifts, enjoy delicious hot waffles, 'oliebollen, crêpes and churros, hot chocolate and mulled wine.
B, DDay 4
Merry Christmas.... A hearty breakfast followed by a scenic drive to Dreilundenpunt 'the meeting point of 3 counties'. the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. We return to the hotel for 'Christmas Day Lunch'. A Buffet Lunch followed by a relaxing afternoon. This evening we enjoy Dinner in the Restaurant followed by enterainment to complete our day.
B, L, DDay 5
A leisurely breakfast, before we head to the charming city of Maastricht, considered the oldest and most beautiful city in the Netherlands. Maastricht is known for its impressive Christmas decorations, which include thousands of twinkling lights, Christmas trees, and various seasonal decorations that transform the city into a winter wonderland. Enjoy free time to savour its festive atmsophere and indulge in one of its many eateries.
Enjoy our final evening with Dinner in the Restaurant.
Day 6
This morning we bid farewell to this beautiful Dutch town and head towards the French coast and our journey home.
